This week (3):

Next week (4):
Have a good idea of what your MAIN film will be about
Week 6 (1st main assessment - team):
Completed a photo-essay, on location, but using stand-ins, showing all the sequences of your MAIN film
That's it for now =]
Last Thursday's class
OK,
Kevin and I played around a bit and the problem was to do with the rights available to you with your logins. I'm going to try out the software we use on Monday, so on Wednesday this week, it should be all set to go properly.
I think that on Wednesday...we'll continue with our session on conversion and preparation for the internet.
On Thursday, we will be running a split class, focussing on a) developing story or b) on production requirements.
Hope you enjoying our new subject =]
Hmmm...on THURSDAY I nominate TEAM MEMENTO to bring treats for the whole class. We'll take turns throughout the rest of term, eh...yay!
Using Dropbox (read carefully!)
Using DROPBOX.
Ok, all of you will have access to two shared folders. They're separate from what you do with the rest of your own space in DROPBOX. Here are some important notes though:
1)
Anything that you put inside a shared folder is shared with EVERYONE else who shares that folder...and also decreases their total space
2)
Our first shared folder MED2806 is shared with EVERYONE. Use if for stuff you want everyone to have access to...we will as well
3)
Your CREW folder is only shared between your crew members and us. Use it to store files that you want everyone to share easily and also to provide easy access if you want advice from me, Patrick or Dray

TEAM NAMES...TEAM LEADERS
Okies...you need team-names - it's important for your 'branding' - so post them here as soon as you have them...logo's can follow later.
Also, like I mentioned, you need to select a team-leader. Why? Well, not so much to LEAD you, but to meet with me and Patrick and make me feel confident about how things are going. We'll be meeting about once a fortnight for about an hour.
Yay!
HOW DO WE PUT OUR VIDEOS ON THE BLOG?
- The EASIEST way is to just upload using the video upload icon in a new POST (compose view)
- Use a youtube account and upload your video there...then link to it
DROPBOX!!
Film-making resources
Patrick has put together a really useful list of resources that you can use for your film-making. We've put it in the goodies box (on the right!). What's in it? Umm...loads of links for things that might be useful during your filming, during the pre-production and just for general interest =]
