Last Thursday's class

Posted by Hellray on Monday, November 15, 2010 , LABELS: | comments (0)

OK,

Kevin and I played around a bit and the problem was to do with the rights available to you with your logins. I'm going to try out the software we use on Monday, so on Wednesday this week, it should be all set to go properly.

I think that on Wednesday...we'll continue with our session on conversion and preparation for the internet.

On Thursday, we will be running a split class, focussing on a) developing story or b) on production requirements.

Hope you enjoying our new subject =]

Hmmm...on THURSDAY I nominate TEAM MEMENTO to bring treats for the whole class. We'll take turns throughout the rest of term, eh...yay!

Using Dropbox (read carefully!)

Posted by Hellray on Wednesday, November 10, 2010 , LABELS: | comments (0)

Using DROPBOX.

Ok, all of you will have access to two shared folders. They're separate from what you do with the rest of your own space in DROPBOX. Here are some important notes though:

1)
Anything that you put inside a shared folder is shared with EVERYONE else who shares that folder...and also decreases their total space

2)
Our first shared folder MED2806 is shared with EVERYONE. Use if for stuff you want everyone to have access to...we will as well

3)
Your CREW folder is only shared between your crew members and us. Use it to store files that you want everyone to share easily and also to provide easy access if you want advice from me, Patrick or Dray

TEAM NAMES...TEAM LEADERS

Posted by Hellray on Friday, November 5, 2010 , LABELS: | comments (0)

Okies...you need team-names - it's important for your 'branding' - so post them here as soon as you have them...logo's can follow later.

Also, like I mentioned, you need to select a team-leader. Why? Well, not so much to LEAD you, but to meet with me and Patrick and make me feel confident about how things are going. We'll be meeting about once a fortnight for about an hour.

Yay!

HOW DO WE PUT OUR VIDEOS ON THE BLOG?

Posted by Hellray on , LABELS: , | comments (0)

Hey there =]

  • The EASIEST way is to just upload using the video upload icon in a new POST (compose view)

another solution is to

  • Use a youtube account and upload your video there...then link to it

BUT, next week I'll run a special session about video conversion for internet - more about that later

Not really...the 389 bus goes about every ten minutes from Railway Square and stops right across from Paddington Town Hall

How much?
Not really sure yet...maybe free...but perhaps as much as $15...let you know as soon as I know!

Why?
Duh!

If you want to direct or produce a sci-fi, fantasy, horror, or action film in Australia, you can't afford to miss this insight into the local independent genre filmmaking scene. From developing a feature project and raising your budget outside of the funding body system, through the logistics and realities of pre-production and production, to planning your post-production workflow: learn from three Sydney based director/producer teams who have already successfully navigated the process.

Phil Moore (Writer/Director/Producer) and Anthony Egan (Producer) Mortal Fools
Carlo Ledesma (Director) and Enzo Tedeschi (Writer/Producer) The Tunnel
